Pay: $120 – 150K (depending on experience - Full-Time with Benefits
SDS is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS). The Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) Information & Technology (I&T) provides support and assistance for: DISA Automated Time Attendance and Production System (DATAAPS), Headquarters Accounting Reporting System (HQARS), and Wounded in Action (WIA).
Under general direction, the Senior Software Engineer will perform high-level systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of the application software that requires a thorough knowledge of administrative and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for research, design, and development of computer software.
- Directs and participates in all phases of system development with emphasis on analysis, evaluation, integration, testing and acceptance phases.
- Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required by the task order.
- Responsible for ensuring the quality of services delivered for particular DATAAPS task(s).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of related experience OR Associates Degree and 8 years of related experience
- Proficiency in COBOL Development is required.
- Experience and/or knowledge with the following Computer Languages and Tools:
- Capability Maturity Model (CMMI).
- AGILE Methodology
- UNISYS Mainframe ECL
- QLP
