Job DescriptionOur Platform Services Engineering team builds and maintains the cloud-based applications, RESTful APIs, and shared services that power Experian Software Solutions' products. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help design, develop, and enhance both the backend services and user-facing applications delivered through our rapidly growing cloud platform.
In this role, you will work across the full technology stack, building scalable microservices, intuitive web interfaces, and reusable platform capabilities that enable our product teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You'll collaborate closely with Product, UX, Architecture, and Engineering teams, applying your software development expertise, system design thinking, and problem-solving skills to create secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions.
This is an opportunity to make a significant impact by shaping both the services and user experiences that support multiple products across the Experian Software Solutions portfolio.

What You'll Do
- Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software using technologies such as React, Angular, Java, JavaScript, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, Git, PostgreSQL, Maven, Gradle, and related tools.
- Write clean, efficient, and reliable code that meets performance, security, and quality standards.
- Drive software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and test coverage improvements using tools such as JUnit, Cucumber, Cypress, and similar frameworks.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices that enable reliable and efficient software delivery.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Continuously improve engineering practices, operational processes, system reliability, and development efficiency.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and communicate technical solutions to stakeholders.
- Mentor and support junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and best practice sharing.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building, delivering, and supporting scalable applications using modern development technologies and cloud platforms.
- Strong proficiency in software design principles, object-oriented programming, system architecture, and engineering best practices.
- Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps processes to enable reliable and efficient software delivery.
- Balance quality, performance, scalability, security, and maintainability considerations.
- Experience working with cloud-native technologies, distributed systems, APIs, databases, and modern software development tools.
- Passion for mentoring and coaching engineers, fostering knowledge sharing, and contributing to a high-performing engineering culture.
