Position Overview
The Senior Software Engineer, Frontend is responsible for ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency, and maintaining brand consistency across all web pages of the Agiloft application, among other duties. The Frontend developer works in teams alongside Backend Developers and User Experience Designers to ensure all elements of the user interface creation are consistent. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The Senior Front-End Developer is technically proficient and has a keen eye for design and UI/UX. The Senior Front-End Developer translates customer needs and user expectations into interactive web apps, has demonstrated experience with the optimization of web applications in terms of technology and in delivering the best user experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of frontend applications that meet or exceed requirements on performance, scalability, and security and are delivered on time.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and help translate these into technical requirements for the development team.
- Build cross-browser solutions optimized for a wide range of devices.
- Identify UI problems and bugs and devise elegant solutions.
- Make strategic technical decisions related to new products and functionalities.
- Collaborate with other members of Agiloft Engineering on improvements to the development process and code base.
- Operate expertly within the SDLC lifecycle and process, in-alignment with the broader departmental lifecycle and process.
- Ensure adherence to Agiloft’s quality framework and policies.
- Timely respond-to and resolve complex and/or escalated issues.
- Generate innovative ideas and develop prototypes and proof of concepts.
- Onboard and mentor new team members
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Eight or more years of work experience with software development.
- A minimum of five years of experience in working on large projects/Enterprise applications including, but not limited to version control tools, automated software testing, automating software build tools
- Extensive experience with JS, TypeScript, and Vue.js.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3
- Solid experience in architectural patterns for frontend architectures for SaaS applications on AWS or Azure (AWS preferred).
- Strong experience in CI/CD practices.
- Experience achieving compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG, etc.)
- Proficiency in using relevant AI Tools in the SLDC (for example, GitHub Copilot, JetBrains AI Assistant)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Struts2
- Experience with Java
