Who we are

We are a rapidly growing pan-European digital wealth manager, serving over 167,000 active investors with more than £5.5 billion invested on our platform. We began in Milan in 2011 with the purpose to help more people improve their financial well-being by making personal investing simple and accessible through technology. Fast forward to today, and we are recognised as one of the most innovative fintechs, headquartered in the heart of London.

With a team of 220+ people across 4 offices in Italy and the UK, we are proudly backed and funded by major partners including Poste Italiane, Cabot Square Capital, United Ventures, and Allianz.

Our vision

Our vision is to combine passion, expertise, and technology to provide best-in-class investment solutions and advice that protects and grows client wealth over time.

Our Core Values:

We’ve built our business on three Principles:

  • Relationships are our first asset: We’re one team, built on trust, honesty, and transparency. We value our relationships above all else.
  • Trust drives success: We give each other the space to grow. We empower our employees to succeed, so they can make a real impact.
  • Our customers dream big, just like us: We see the bigger picture and we make sure our customers see it, too. We’re always focused on the best outcomes for our clients and for each other, no matter what the goal, or how big the dream

What this means in practice:

At Moneyfarm, our success comes from the impact each of us makes. We move with purpose, urgency, and ambition, focused on delivering outcomes that matter for our clients and our business. Everyone is empowered to take ownership, challenge the status quo, and turn bold ideas into results. As we evolve, we embrace AI as a catalyst for sharper thinking, smarter decisions, and even greater impact.

Our diversity makes this possible. Different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences fuel our creativity and drive better decisions — it’s our competitive edge. We value people for who they are and their unique strengths: that's why we offer flexible ways of working to support them in doing their best work.

About the role:

Moneyfarm operates a Bubble structure: cross-functional, outcome-driven teams that bring together Product, Tech, Commercial, and other disciplines around a shared KPI set. This role sits in the Partners Bubble, which owns the outcomes that grow Moneyfarm's B2B2C business - delivering our platform, products and engagement capabilities through institutional banking and financial services partners.

Moneyfarm’s Partners Engineering team builds and operates the B2B platform that enables strategic partnerships with major banks and financial institutions. The team designs integrations, product gateways, and shared services that allow partners to offer Moneyfarm’s digital wealth management capabilities embedded within their own channels.

As Senior Backend Engineer, you will take ownership of complex backend services and deliver them end-to-end, from technical design through deployment. Your work may span building new product gateways, implementing data exchange pipelines with partner systems, designing order execution flows, or developing billing and reconciliation services. You will collaborate closely with the Lead Engineer and Engineering Manager, and you will be expected to occasionally lead specific technical streams within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build Moneyfarm’s frontend components for B2B partner integrations, ensuring a seamless and performant user experience within the partner’s digital channels
  • Own the frontend architecture: component structure, state management, API integration layer, and build pipeline
  • Implement complex UI flows: product showcase with storytelling elements, multi-step subscription journeys per product type, portfolio dashboards with composition breakdown and performance charts, digital signature with OTP, and customer engagement content
  • Collaborate with partner design systems to ensure pixel-perfect alignment with each bank’s UI guidelines, adapting Moneyfarm’s component library to match third-party brand standards
  • Integrate with Moneyfarm backend APIs for all data flows: portfolio data, product catalogue, suitability results, financial activities, documents, and notifications
  • Collaborate with partner frontend teams on the embedding model (web view, micro-frontend, SDK, or similar) and SSO integration
  • Work with Product and Business stakeholders to understand user journeys, translate requirements into technical designs, and propose improvements based on UX best practices
  • Lead frontend-specific technical decisions with minimal oversight; contribute to cross-stack architectural discussions
  • Ensure accessibility, performance, and cross-browser/device compatibility across all partner integrations
  • Write clean, testable, and well-documented frontend code; maintain high standards through thorough code reviews
  • Mentor more junior frontend engineers and help establish frontend patterns and conventions for the team

Requirements
      • 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience
      • Deep expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one major framework (React strongly preferred)
      • Strong experience building complex, data-driven UIs: dashboards, multi-step forms, charts, and interactive components
      • Solid understanding of frontend architecture: component design, state management, API integration patterns, and modern build tooling (Vite, or similar)
      • Experience working with external design systems and adapting component libraries to match third-party UI guidelines
      • Familiarity with embedding patterns: web views, iframes, micro-frontends, or SDK-based integration into host applications
      • Strong CSS/styling skills; ability to deliver pixel-perfect implementations from design specs
      • Experience with testing strategies for frontend: unit tests (Jest/Vitest), integration tests, E2E tests (Cypress, Playwright)
      • Good understanding of web performance optimisation, accessibility standards, and responsive design
      • Ability to work autonomously on complex features, managing scope and communicating progress clearly
      • Comfortable collaborating with backend engineers, designers, and external partner teams

Nice to have

      • Experience with mobile web views or hybrid app integration (React Native, web-in-native)
      • Experience in financial services or fintech: portfolio dashboards, transaction flows, compliance UIs
      • Familiarity with charting libraries for financial data visualisation
      • Experience with design tokens, Storybook, and component documentation
      • Italian language proficiency

Level & Compensation:

We apply CCNL Credito and based on candidate's experience and skills, we will assign title of Senior Software Engineer — Frontend.
