DUTIES : Design, develop, test, and deploy embedded software for significant projects that align with GM's future goals. Work with Software Architects to understand and implement Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) requirements and designs within the team. Collaborate with an agile-scrum team to develop embedded software for the Body domain using C code. Create and integrate software while following best practices. Develop software interfaces as needed to integrate new components and enhance existing software capabilities. Identify and resolve software issues and contributing to the team's knowledge base for future reference. Archive software components in GIT repository databases and coordinating retention efforts between controls and software teams. Design test cases to ensure comprehensive software testing at the unit, component, and integrated levels. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.
REQUIREMENTS : Master's degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study. Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer, Integration Embedded Engineer, Network Engineer, or related occupation. Five (5) years of experience with the following: Embedded software development; Writing and debugging C/C++ code; and Scrum project management framework using tools including Jira and GIT-hub. Four (4) years of experience with the following: BSP development, new Hardware bring-up, and Device-drivers on complex platforms, such as Linux and AUTOSAR; and Writing wired/wireless networking drivers and protocols to support. Three (3) years of experience with the following: Automotive domain experience on AUTOSAR, CAN, LIN, Vendor Management, and System Integration; Automotive domain specific tools experience, such as CANalyzer, Canoe, Vehicle SPI, Oscilloscope, and Logic Analyzers; and Establishing protocols for telematics for diagnostics, prognostics and metrics data collection.
Compensation :
• The expected base compensation for this role is $264,515.00 to $264,515.00 Annually.
• Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
• Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
