Job Description SummaryAs a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at GE HealthCare, you will play an integral role within our SPECT/CT Software Development Group. Your scope of work will span across software design, implementation, and testing throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). By collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will be instrumental in the development of innovative medical products.
Job Description
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering from a well-regarded institution.
• At least 5 years of hands-on embedded software development on real time operating system - such as VxWorks
• At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience using C++, including modern C++.
• Experience in HW integrations and working with FPGA interfaces.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design and Programming.
• Comprehensive knowledge of multi-threading concepts.
• Aptitude for creatively solving complex problems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with team members.
• Self-driven, organized, proactive, and capable of working under pressure.
Desired Characteristics:
• Proficiency in Java software development is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in the Medical Devices industry is a strong asset.
• Experience with Linux OS is advantageous.
• Master's Degree in Computer Science
• Experience in SW Architecture
