ROLE PROFILE:

Senior Software Engineer in a distributed team with diverse strengths. Design and build innovative software solutions that strengthen application security and help shape the future of LSEG. Work closely with engineering and platform teams to embed security into development practices and champion a “Shift Left” approach.

ROLE SUMMARY:
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to join our DevSecOps Engineering team. This team is responsible for improving the security posture of LSEG’s applications and driving strategic change to embed security into the software development lifecycle. You will develop innovative solutions, collaborate across engineering teams, and champion secure development practices. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, collaboration skills, and a passion for secure software development.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Develop and maintain software solutions that enhance application security.
• Collaborate with developer tooling, engineering, and platform teams to integrate security into workflows.
• Implement and optimize security tools such as static analysis (SAST) and software composition analysis (SCA).
• Provide actionable feedback through reviews to improve security practices.
• Contribute to standards, documentation, and policy-as-code initiatives.
• Advocate for secure development practices across the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Strong software engineering background with exposure to multiple languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies.
• Experience with application security tooling (SAST, SCA) and supply chain security in SDLC.
• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures for building data-intensive systems.
• Familiarity with modern development tools and CI/CD systems (GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to collaborate across teams and provide constructive feedback via code reviews.
• Experience in regulated environments or consulting roles.
• Background in writing standards, policy documentation, or policy as code.
