Position Description:

Delivers software using agile development practices and Object-Oriented Development (OOD) to support products. Produces high-quality, testable, and reliably deployed code for sophisticated products and components, using Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, and PL/SQL. Prepares reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, and status. Coordinates software system installation and monitors its functioning to ensure specifications are met. Develops software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Provides business solutions by developing complex software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology and Management, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-scale Web applications using Angular, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS and Cypress in a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology and Management, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-scale Web applications using Angular, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS and Cypress in a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE”) designing and developing responsive and single-page Web applications in financial services and pharmaceutical domains, using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS; and participating in automation testing and performing unit, end-to-end, and regression testing.
  • DE developing micro front-end Graphical User Interface (GUI) ensuring accessibility compliance with Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG); performing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) testing using NonVisual Desktop Access (NVDA); and conducting performance checks with Axe DevTools and Angular DevTools.
  • DE deploying services in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure via Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, using Jenkins, Release Lifecycle Management (RLM), SonarQube, Git, and Bitbucket; and maintaining code quality and troubleshooting with Splunk and Datadog under Agile practices.
  • DE integrating REST APIs with Spring and JSON Web Token (JWT) for secure authentication; building scalable microservices using Java and Node.js; conducting end-to-end testing with Cypress; and collaborating on User Experience (UX) design using Jira and Figma.
