Position Description:
Develops software engineering designs and provides automation solutions using programming languages – Python, JavaScript, and Ansible. Designs new automated solutions to enable customer connectivity. Creates a stable and resilient software environment through tactical change management. Leverages DevOps software development best practices and Jenkins to automate pipelines. Troubleshoots and performs Application Traffic Analysis. Provides business solutions by developing complex, secure and stable software applications. Develops SNOW Forms for user data input.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
• Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
• Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
• Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
• Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
• Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
• Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
• Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing software applications using programming languages -- Python, Ansible, and ServiceNow Forms.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing software applications using programming languages -- Python, Ansible, and ServiceNow Forms.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing Application Programming Interfaces (API), micro-services, back-end and front-end development, using Python, JavaScript, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) lambda.
DE developing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate infrastructure deployment using Teraform, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy, and automation status result dashboards.
DE performing SNOW Form development using JavaScript and SNOW modules.
DE building Test Automation Frameworks using Python; writing automated test scripts; and integrating automated test scripts with Jenkins.
