VAST Data is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative DataEngine Platform team. This role offers the opportunity to work on core infrastructure that powers AI-scale data platforms at a fast-growing company in the heart of the AI revolution.
We are seeking an exceptional engineer with deep expertise in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), strong knowledge of Kubernetes internals, and experience extending Kubernetes through CRDs and custom operators. You will design and build scalable infrastructure that delivers real value to customers.
We’re looking for a collaborative team player and out-of-the-box thinker, passionate about building scalable software, with a can-do attitude and readiness to take on complex challenges.
RequirementsRequirements:
- Strong proficiency in Go
- Experience writing Kubernetes operators and managing CRD lifecycles
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes networking
- Experience with Helm charts
Stand out from the crowd:
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Experience with Kubernetes CSI/CNI plugin development
- Background working with Knative or similar serverless orchestration frameworks
- Familiarity with software distribution workflows and modern CI/CD pipelines (edited)
