The team
Kraken is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Cross Platform Engineer to join a newly created team and project within Kraken. Our mission is to move the economy away from fiat to stablecoins. People should not have to go through a centralized body to custody their money. Banks fail and mismanage customer funds all the time. DeFi gives the power back to the people - with the convenience of cash but the safety of digital assets. We are building embedded finance, but on DeFi rails. Enabling developers to open up DeFi wallets for their users, both self-custody and multi-sig, through easy-to-use SDKs for full onboarding and management for their accounts.
We’re seeking a strong communicator and a collaborative team player who can decompose complex problems into manageable tasks. You’ll work alongside engineers across the team and organization, learning and exploring innovative ways to address issues and improve workflows.
This role requires a candidate to work onsite in San Francisco
The opportunity

Build the foundation of our SDKs, enabling developers to integrate self-custody and multi-sig wallet functionalities seamlessly

Ensure a high level of reliability, scalability, and usability across platforms (mobile, web, and desktop)

Create intuitive and performant tools to drive global developer adoption in BRICS, the Middle East, and LatAm etc.

Lay the groundwork for integrating on/off ramps, payments, and treasury features
Skills you should HODL

Expert in building cross-platform applications using frameworks like React Native, Flutter, or similar

Deep understanding of API design and SDK development, ensuring compatibility across platforms

Proven ability to write clean, modular, and well-documented code

Experience working with DeFi ecosystems, wallets, or blockchain integrations.

Ability to integrate cryptographic methods securely, such as multi-sig implementations

Comfortable owning and executing tasks end-to-end in fast-paced environments.

Strong focus on developer experience, ensuring SDKs are easy to use and well-documented

5+ years of experience in cross-platform development; prior experience with financial or blockchain products is a plus
