Senior Software Engineer - Cloud (Java)

FocusKPI is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Cloud (Java) to join one of our clients, a high-tech SaaS company. 
 

The Cloud Services group at the client is looking for world-class server software engineers to join their technology innovation group focused on the rapid development of cloud-based end-to-end mobile applications and services. This is an exciting area for the client’s Cloud-based service platforms and infrastructure to support mobility.

This is a great opportunity for a talented and hard-working Senior Engineer to build secure cloud services for users of the world’s best-selling mobile devices. The B2B Cloud Services Team is focused on the rapid development of cloud-based end-to-end mobile applications and services. Work Location: Mountain View, CA
Duration: 6 months contract
Pay Range: $90/hr to $100/hr
Responsibilities:

• Implement, maintain, and evolve cloud-based products and services
• Integrate with external customer and 3rd-party systems
• Perform extensive research and analysis to make optimal architecture and design decisions
• Analyze and improve security for Cloud applications, provide expert guidance to Engineers on security
• Interface with other groups, including Product Management, QA, and Operations
• Create quick proof-of-concept prototypes

Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of hands-on industry experience
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience developing cloud applications in Java for highly available distributed systems
• Hands-on experience writing data models and doing optimization for Mongo DB
• Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis
• Good knowledge of messaging or event streaming systems
