This is an amazing opportunity to be an engineer in a high-growth, high-potential startup. In this role, you will be part of the Cloud Cost Management product and responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software that has a direct impact on the company's product experience.
About the Role
- 4–8 years of professional experience in data engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL, with demonstrated experience in performance optimization and dimensional data modeling.
- Proven experience designing and operating data platforms at petabyte scale.
- Hands-on expertise with modern OLAP data warehouses such as BigQuery, ClickHouse, or StarRocks.
- Practical experience using SQL-based transformation frameworks, including SQLMesh, dbt, or equivalent tools.
- Strong programming skills in Python (preferred), with working knowledge of Java and/or Go.
- Experience with workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal, Apache Airflow, or Dagster.
- Proficiency working across major cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure.
- Strong emphasis on clean architecture, data quality, testing, and automation best practices.
- Experience with distributed data processing engines such as Apache Spark.
- Familiarity with open table formats, including Apache Iceberg.
- Experience with Looker and LookML for analytics and dashboard modeling.
- This role will be out of our Bangalore, India office.
