Job Description

The AI Services team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a diverse, multi-national team. You will develop mission-critical, real-time, cloud solutions that impact public safety and our communities.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Expert knowledge in modern software development practices and tools. 
  • Results driven, disciplined engineer, creating well crafted code resulting in maintainable, testable, scalable, performant, highly available, and sophisticated enterprise level distributed systems and services.
  • Engage with an Agile team to breakdown features, producing well groomed stories and estimates. 
  • Enthusiasm for learning and exploring new technologies.
  • Willingness to mentor, share knowledge, and collaborate in a respectful environment. .
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to collaborate with technical leaders in a remote multi-team/multinational environment with teams spanning the globe.


Basic Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building web applications.

  • Expertise C#

  • Working experience developing RESTful APIs using microservice principles and architectures.

  • Expert knowledge of containerized solutions (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless infrastructure (e.g. AWS Lambda).

  • Experience with CI/CD for build and release processes.

  • Developing cloud based solutions in AWS

  • Creating unit and functional automation, load, performance, and security testing.

  • Diagnosis and debugging techniques like network tracing, threat analysis, log analysis, reading APM logs from cloud based solutions, and system analysis including kubectl commands.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Desired Skills 

  • Experience using Javascript and modern frameworks like Angular or React SPAs.

  • Real time streaming and queueing systems; Kafka, RabbitMQ, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Kinesis, Pub/Sub.

  • Schema design and optimizing data layers using RDBMS, NoSQL, or Columnar databases.

  • Green field product development experience.
