We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality, high-performance software solutions for remote connectivity software that connects medical research and laboratory work instruments with Cloud infrastructure.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Perform full-stack .NET software development (backend and frontend) in a collaborative team environment, with a strong focus on Azure-based microservices architecture.
- Carry out design, implementation, software integration, testing, and documentation required to meet company procedures.
- Take ownership of the high-quality implementation of software features for remote connectivity software, including microservice design and deployment.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code to support reliable, automated delivery.
- Execute quality assurance activities such as reviews, code inspections, and peer design critiques.
- Undertake software maintenance efforts across cloud-hosted services.
- Support the continuous improvement of the software development process and mentor peers through technical leadership.
- Work in an iterative product release environment, continuously focusing on quality and delivery goals.
The required qualifications for the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in commercial software development with hands-on experience in C# / .NET full-stack development
- 2+ years of experience designing and deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure, including microservices architecture
- 2+ years of experience using web technologies, with Angular preferred (React also acceptable) — including TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5
- Solid understanding of software design principles, including distributed systems and microservice patterns
- Demonstrated analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams as a strong team player
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Build pipeline and infrastructure tooling such as Jenkins, Terraform, or equivalent CI/CD platforms
- Scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Batch scripting for automation and tooling
- Understanding of software development processes in a regulated environment
- Software development experience in the life sciences / medical device domain
- Experience in Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
- Experience using PaaS designs, .NET Core, and containerization technologies
- Experience with Azure IoT Hub, Azure K8S, Azure SQL Server, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor etc.
- Experience using serverless computing tools such as Azure Functions or AWS Lambdas
- Experience with Azure IoT Hub, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL Server, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor, etc.
