About the Ad Cloud Bidding Team
The Ad Cloud Bidding Team is at the forefront of Appier's AI-driven advertising solutions. We develop high-throughput and low-latency systems that deliver superior ROAS (Return On Ad Spend) and maximize campaign ROI for clients worldwide. Our services optimize budget allocation across premium, high-intent inventories, and process billions of requests per day with millisecond precision. You will use advanced C++ technologies to build robust and scalable infrastructure that is foundational to our AI decision-making engines in a fast-paced, data-intensive environment where performance is paramount.
About the role
Software engineers (Ad Cloud Bidding) at Appier build a wide range of platforms and services that interconnect data and AI with our customers and users. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong focus on service operations to maintain and optimize our large-scale distributed systems. You will ensure our backend services run reliably and efficiently through automation, monitoring, and incident management.
Responsibilities
- Manage system deployment, configuration, and release pipelines
- Design and manage automated deployment pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable releases
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery strategies
- Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response when required
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools or technologies to improve operational workflows
About you
[Minimum qualifications]
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related fields
- 3+ years of experience in backend engineering or site reliability engineering
- Familiar with Unix/Linux environments
- Scripting or programming skills in Python, Go, or Bash
- Experience in infrastructure-as-code tools
- A proactive mindset toward automation and continuous improvement and strong sense of ownership
[Preferred qualifications]
- Experience with cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and observability tools
- Knowledge of performance profiling and load testing tools
- Exposure to security hardening, access control, or compliance auditing
