What You’ll Do:
- Technical Ownership
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and propose improvements for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Write high-quality, testable, maintainable code following engineering best practices.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
- Efficient debugging skills.
- Feature Development & Execution
- Own features end-to-end from design through deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Tech Leads to translate requirements into implementation plans.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause resolution.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with frontend, data, and platform teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentorship & Team Contribution
- Mentor SE I and SE II engineers on technical skills and coding practices.
- Share knowledge through documentation and technical discussions.
- Help uphold engineering quality and foster continuous improvement.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering.
- 3.5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience building and maintaining backend systems in production.
- Proven contributor to moderately complex technical initiatives.
- Exposure to mentoring or guiding peers is a plus.
- Languages: Java (primary), SQL.
- Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA.
- APIs: REST; GraphQL exposure is a plus.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis.
- Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Messaging: Kafka, SQS.
- Experience with tools like Git, JUnit, Mockito, Maven/Gradle, Grafana and other monitoring tools.
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Collaborative and proactive approach.
- Comfortable working in Agile environments.
- Growth mindset and willingness to mentor others.
