As a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) at Sift, you will play a critical role in delivering the experiences that help thousands of users navigate and understand their organization.

About you
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience developing production-ready web applications
- Strong understanding of modern JavaScript and TypeScript
- Extensive experience building web APIs with Node.js
- Proficiency in SQL databases such as Postgres
- Experience with test-driven development, including unit and end-to-end testing
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Comfort in a fast-paced and cross-functional startup environment
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and take ownership of your work
- Experience utilizing AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar. You enjoy using AI to boost productivity, improve code quality, or streamline development workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and workflows
- Experience integrating generative AI functionality into an application, and/or developing AI chatbots
- Experience building integrations into sources of people data such as HRIS systems, identity systems, or collaboration systems
- Experience with Elasticsearch
- Knowledge of React, React Router, and component libraries like Material UI
- Experience building mobile apps with React Native

Colorado, New York City, Jersey City, California, D.C and Washington Candidates only: the compensation for this position is $107,000-$241,500. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives, and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K retirement plan, and paid-time off.
