Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer
What You’ll Own:

• Architect, design, and scale GraphQL APIs using Node.js for high-performance applications.
• Integrate and optimize Python-based recommendation engines and RAG pipelines for seamless data flow.
• Fine-tune PostgreSQL and Redis for optimal performance under demanding workloads.
• Develop, deploy, and manage robust Kafka-based event-driven pipelines.
• Leverage vector databases (OpenSearch) to implement advanced similarity search capabilities.
• Own and streamline infrastructure deployments and management using Kubernetes.
• Lead key architectural decisions while mentoring and guiding junior developers.

What We’re Looking For:

• Over 5 years of experience in backend development.
• Expertise in Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Proficient in Python microservices, particularly in ML techniques.
• Strong understanding of Redis, Kafka, and microservice architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for service deployment and management.
• Proven track record in building distributed, scalable, and low-latency systems.

Good to Have:

• Exposure to vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) setups.
• Understanding of embeddings, NLP models, or recommendation algorithms.
• Familiarity with observability tools and performance tuning.
• Prior startup or product-first environment experience.
