This is where you and your skills come in. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will act as the primary engineering lead for resolving complex, multi-layered issues within the RingCentral’s AI platform. This role owns the full lifecycle of the solution: from deep-dive discovery to writing and deploying the production code. The engineer will leverage "under-the-hood" knowledge to build and refine features for our AI products, including improvements to Autonomous AI Agents, real-time transcriptions, and smart meeting summaries.
This role requires on-site presence at our office 4 days a week to support effective collaboration and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
Collaborating effectively with Product Management, Customer Support, and other cross-functional teams to investigate production issues, design and implement solutions, and deploy fixes to production environments.
Architecting and developing new RingCentral app features, and continuously improving the application's performance and scalability.
Designing and building internal diagnostic tools to monitor LLM performance, focusing on inference quality, token efficiency, and hallucination rates.
Tracking incidents, managing resolutions, and reporting on progress.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field is required.
5+ years of overall Software Development experience in Agile Development.
Proficiency in software architecture design, especially for web, mobile, or desktop applications.
Proficiency in few of the following for web and mobile development language: Python, TypeScript, Java, JavaScript, Swift, and Kotlin.
C++ and Electron experience for desktop applications development is a plus.
Experience troubleshooting LLM-based applications and AI Agents.
Proficiency with systems like ElasticSearch, Kibana, Logstash with the ability to create custom monitors for AI-specific metrics.

If you are hired in Belmont, CA, the compensation range for this position is between $142,800 and $204,000 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, health and wellness, 401k, ESPP, vacation, parental leave, and more! The salary may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
