As part of the Power and Renewables Business Unit, you will be instrumental in developing tools that support the rapid growth of renewable energy providers, focusing on congestion analysis and forecasting. Using the latest technologies, you will help provide one-of-a-kind data solutions for power traders and asset managers to help them make smart decisions for our future. You'll work with an immense amount of data in an environment where system performance matters. If you enjoy taking a lot of data, making it understandable and accessible, while squeezing every ounce of speed out of a system that you can, then this is the role for you!
The Team:
As part of the Marginal Unit Team, you will be a key contributor to the fastest growing product line at Enverus . We pair complex algorithms and machine learning with powerful computational infrastructure and an intuitive UI that is unmatched in the industry. Small, fast-paced, and highly skilled, this team welcomes talented engineers from diverse backgrounds to help shape the future of energy together.
What you'll do:
- Help design and maintain scalable frontend platforms in Angular
- Leverage and extend data access layers in Node.js
- Format ElasticSearch query results into human readable messages
- Push messages through various delivery mechanisms, including email, text, desktop notifications or mobile applicatio n s
- Work closely with backend engineers to leverage and design data-heavy APIs
What you should have:
- Solid frontend development experience with Angular and TypeScript or similar typed language
- Experience formatting ElasticSearch queries and parsing responses
- Familiarity with NodeJS and the latest ESNext syntax
- Experience debugging and fixing errors in a production environment
- Experience working with large amounts of data
- Experience troubleshooting and optimizing processes for performance
- Experience learning and working in a highly complex domain
- Proven success in delivering highly reliable and scalable software systems
