JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer
LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)
DUTIES: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Duties include: demonstrate and apply understanding of modern development methodologies and tools to develop, deploy and maintain solutions; write, debug and test code to create working solutions; understand and apply unique programming/scripting languages specific to software engineering; understand and influence underlying architecture of solution and how it meets business goals; work with various cross functional teams in configuration, infrastructure, business operations, architecture, and business analyst teams; design and develop high level functional and technical Facets solution that involve presenting the proof of concept and preparing technical artifacts for high level Functional Specification documents, detailed flow diagrams, mapping, and data scenarios; apply modern practices, such as DevOps, Agile, Cloud, ATDD; build instrumentation and diagnostics to support integration of maintenance into development; develop code components like stored procedures, functions, scripts, API's and/or micro-services; leverage modern components, tools and technologies to design decoupled, modular, flexible solutions; build and support ATDD/Agile development and continuous integration, and continuous delivery environment (CICD); proactively manage and monitor the operational characteristics of software solutions; use and develop algorithms; and use and develop data structures. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in an Engineering-related occupation. Position requires five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the following: Facets; EDI; SQL and PL SQL; Unix Scripting; Informatica; C#.Net; Soap, XML, and Web Services; and MS Visual Studio, PL SQL Developer, Toad and Job Scheduler, and Jira.
RATE OF PAY: $145,018.00.00-$213,150.00/per year
