Job Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and scale robust backend systems that power our products. This role will focus on developing high-performance APIs and microservices while ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability across our platform.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business goals.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and related technologies
- Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices to support product functionality
- Design, optimize, and manage PostgreSQL databases, including schema design and performance tuning
- Integrate backend services with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile Scrum environment and actively participate in ceremonies
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support automated build and deployment processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system reliability and performance
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
- Continuously identify opportunities for performance improvement and system optimization
- Responsibility to adhere to set internal controls.
Experience and Desired Skills:
- 4 to 7 years of experience in backend development
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience with Node.js and building microservices architectures
- Solid experience working with PostgreSQL, including performance optimization and indexing
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Groovy scripting
- Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
