Senior Software Development Engineer

As a software developer, you will join the Agile Release Train, “Orion Train” which goals is to build an issuing platform to issue virtual credit cards to be used by our Travel Agencies customers to pay their providers.

It implies design, develop, deploy and maintain some cloud native applications composed of micro services to be deployed on an open platform.

Main accountabilities

By joining our team, you will have a unique opportunity to participate to the design, development and maintenance and of a strategical evolution in Outpayce offer. Your deliverables and support will be key in the success of Outpayce Open platform.Be involved in the global architecture definition and in charge of the design and delivery of some key components developing new features and technical enhancements with a high degree of quality.

Maintain and optimize

• Troubleshoot and investigate defects raised by our customers to ensure compliance of our products to the specifications and system integrity

• Debug efficiently

• Create and update standardized documentation

• Conduct routine performance analysis and optimize software

Collaborate

• Work closely with Product Management, Technical Business Analysts, Quality Assurance and Global Operations to create and develop high quality code for internal/external customers that works and is consistent with requirements documents

• Collaborate with your fellow team members, to benefit from their knowledge and different backgrounds, and bring your own assets to the team

• Coordinate cross team/cross area development with other teams and developers

About the ideal candidate:

• Bachelors or master’s in computer science or Engineering (Software Development)

• Minimum 5 Years of relevant IT experience (travel or payments industry preferred)

• Good knowledge on Object-Oriented design and programming with Java

• Good knowledge on Cloud native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Quarkus, OpenShift, Micro services)

• Good knowledge and practice in agile methodologies (Scrum (required), SAFe (preferred))

• Familiar to complete product development lifecycle including production support

• Able to deliver high quality results in a fast paced, changing environment with shifting priorities

• Strive to consistently meet established deadlines

• Maintain timely reports on status of projects, potential technical problems, and any other relevant details.

• Experience in maintenance

• T-shape mindset is a plus
