At GoCardless, Data Platform is on a mission to deliver a trusted, self-serve platform that empowers teams to build reliable, governed, and scalable data products. We do this by embedding data contracts, strong governance, and domain-driven design into everything we build.
Data in GoCardless is critical to what we do, and powers critical business processes, ML models for intelligent payment products and business growth through analytics.
As a Senior Software Engineer in our Data Services group, you’ll lead the work on foundational data models and help shape how data is produced, consumed, and trusted across the company.
What You’ll Do- Define scalable and reliable, domain-driven data models
- Build and evolve data contract tooling and platform capabilities
- Champion best practices for data quality, governance, and observability
- Work across Product, Engineering, and Business Services to deliver real business value
- Drive forward platform standards and help teams ship trusted data products faster
- Promote strong engineering discipline, including best practices in version control, automation, and testing

Base salary range: €5,333 - €8,000 (Monthly Gross)
Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data. Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
