Position Summary
CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer. The Senior Software Development Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end application development & delivery including production deployment, application operationalization, and observability. In this role, the right candidate will be a technologist and work with other Engineers in planning, prioritizing and performing assigned tasks within deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering (Technical Lead and Developer).
- Strong proficiency in mid-range operating systems (Linux, AIX).
- Deep understanding of non-functional requirements (SLAs, latency, real-time/near–real-time processing, multithreading) with the ability to design systems that meet them.
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
- 5+ years of experience with IBM Sterling Transformation Extender.
- Familiarity with DevOps ecosystems including Kubernetes, Jenkins, Octopus, Docker, and Git.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the healthcare domain.
- Hands-on full‑stack development background.
- Experience collaborating with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Highschool diploma plus 4 years relevant work experience)

The typical pay range for this role is:
$83,430.00 - $166,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
