The Opportunity

A Senior Software Development Engineer (Test) at ConstructConnect is a developer with the primary responsibility of ensuring software quality.  This is predominantly done through developing test strategies, creating / updating test automation code, executing tests (both automated and manual), and analyzing / troubleshooting defects.  It is a unique and challenging role that combines the "building" aspect of software development with the "breaking" aspect of software testing. While they are responsible for all quality activities within their team, the focus is on collaboration and writing code that automatically verifies application changes.

Senior SDET’s are expected to have expertise both in software development and software testing practices. They collaborate with product development teams to ensure the delivery of high quality, high value product features. They understand how our customers use our products and applications, and the technical implementation of them.  They ensure our sites, products, and platforms perform to industry-beating quality levels by designing, developing, and maintaining automated solutions in Python / Pytest that support the development, testing, and deployment of our software solutions.  They are constantly seeking to improve the quality, efficiency, and reliability of our platforms.  Senior SDET’s are expected to perform job functions independently and support other team members through mentoring, code reviews, paired programming, training, feedback, etc.
