Autonomous vehicles have some of the largest, most complex software ever shipped in a safety-critical environment. Solving that problem is one of the most exciting technical challenges of our lifetime.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test on the Product Software Quality Assurance team, your role will focus on building scalable integration automation frameworks and enhancing existing frameworks for automated testing of mobile applications. You will design and implement reliable, scalable and robust test automation framework for vehicle experience stack of applications ensuring comprehensive test coverage and reducing manual testing efforts. By prioritizing automation for repetitive tasks, developing robust regression suites, and focusing on edge cases and high-stress scenarios, you will ensure the reliability of safety-critical tools.

In this role, you will:

Architect and build frameworks for testing automation suites for UI, integration and HIL applications.
Leverage existing frameworks to automate testing for web applications and vehicle software components.
Establish robust automation platforms, tools and monitors to enable fast test automation and reduced reliance on manual tests.
Expand on automated test suites to ensure maximum test coverage.
Build tools to monitor applications and test performance continuously.

Qualifications:

Masters or Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
7+ years of hands-on experience building test automation frameworks from scratch.
Proven ability to lead a project from requirement to completion working with cross functional partners like developers, managers, QA and infrastructure group.
Strong C/C++ knowledge

Bonus Qualifications:

Experience building simulation platform
Experience with the HIL test framework

Compensation

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $195,000 to $220,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
