Position Summary
The Senior Software Development Engineer Microservices will be responsible for development and support of Retail Store related API's. The right candidate will play a key role in the analysis, design, build and post deployment support of all web-based solutions. In this role the Senior Software Development Engineer Microservices will work closely and collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, IT Development staff and other partners in the development and delivery of Loyalty & Retail Store business solutions. The Senior Software Development Engineer Microservices will utilize knowledge in web-based solutions in Java and can deliver assignments throughout the stages of project lifecycles. This will include development experience in Java, Hibernate, Struts, Spring and Cloud Native technologies as well as experience utilizing GKE, Openshift, No SQL, Oracle.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience designing Enterprise web applications, Interface Design, Data Dictionary, Object orientation concept (Java / J2EE)
- 5+ years of experience in Java, J2EE Design Patterns, Object-Oriented design, Cloud Native development, and code Optimizations
- 5+ years of experience in building and consuming stateless Micro Services using Spring framework and deploying within Paas/Cloud platforms like Openshift, GKE, AKS
- 5+ years of experience in integration layer development: RESTful APIs/ Spring/Kafka/GQL
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases including Oracle
- 3+ years of experience with NoSQL like Mongo, Cassandra
- 5+ years of Agile SDLC methodology, Continuous integration experience, code test coverage, security compliance and source control using Maven, Jenkins, GIT
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$101,970.00 - $203,940.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
