Position Overview
Do you enjoy solving complex technical challenges while delivering real value to end users? Are you curious about improving how a wide range of manufacturing equipment — from desktop 3D printers to advanced hybrid machining centers costing millions — can be driven to operate at peak performance? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
Autodesk is looking for a passionate and experienced Software Developer to join a team of talented and highly motivated engineers building an interactive shop floor solution. This platform connects machine centers and operators on the shop floor to capture real-time data, enabling the calculation of industry-specific KPIs and supporting automated workflows from design and planning through to execution.
The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of agile development practices and thrives in a collaborative environment. You will work closely with product managers, architects, product owners, scrum masters, developers, QA engineers, and UX designers to deliver high-quality solutions that ensure machines operate safely, accurately, and efficiently.
This is a hybrid position based in Copenhagen (up to 2 days per week in the office), reporting to a Development Manager also located in Copenhagen.
Responsibilities
Support, encourage, and contribute to an agile team, helping solve both technical and non-technical challenges
Collaborate closely with team members through regular communication, pair programming, and code reviews
Work with the product owner, scrum master, and stakeholders to deliver working software in every sprint and release features regularly
Foster an open, collaborative team environment with a strong focus on continuous improvement and iteration
Maintain a strong level of technical expertise and engage with the broader Autodesk engineering community
Contribute to the design and implementation of components and features, focusing on high-quality, reusable code using test-driven development and best engineering practices

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Experience with Scrum and agile development methodologies, tools, and practices
3+ years of experience in software engineering within development teams, working on medium to large-scale systems
Strong development skills with proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React; experience with languages such as C++, Objective-C, C, Java, or C# is a plus
Excellent debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and approaches
Experience with CAD, CAM, CNC machine tools, CNC controllers, or hardware communication is a plus
