Senior Software Developer
At ESAB, we are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Welding Equipment R&D team at our Lindholmen office in Gothenburg.
The Welding Equipment team develops advanced welding solutions for heavy industry and continuously delivers value to ensure the success of ESAB customers worldwide. In this role, you will work close to industry, customers, and cross-functional colleagues, contributing directly to state-of-the-art welding machines — from idea to implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
As a senior full-stack developer, take an active role in our agile software development team
Take ownership and ensure continuous improvement of our in-house developed application tool software.
Contribute to and influence our related technical roadmaps in collaboration with our technical leadership team.
Collaborate closely with our Weld Process team
End-to-end responsibility to ensure high quality code base, including the process from receiving and breaking down product and system requirements to the final testing and verification of the software.
Participate in lab work and testing in a modern environment with the lab at the heart of the building
Proactively fostering robust collaboration among our global teams by recognizing and leveraging our diverse perspectives to develop a stronger, unified team.
Actively contribute to our continuous improvement in ways of working and processes to increase our development flow.
· Support in embedded software development.
Your Profile:
Required Technical skills
Full-stack development with solid knowledge in Vue.js, JavaScript and .NET.
Backend
Deep understanding of C# and .NET as well as experience in developing and optimizing REST APIs.
Strong knowledge of Entity Framework Core and SQL Server performance optimization.
Frontend
Vue.js development with JavaScript with RESTful API integration.
Databases
MS SQL Server performance optimization and Azure SQL Database.
CI/CD
Knowledge of configuration Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Desirable Technical skills
Embedded software design.
Application Development (e.g. C++, System Understanding, Testability, Logging, Sequences).
Communication Protocols (e.g. Ethernet, USB, CAN, HSUART).
Low Level Programming (e.g. C++, STM32 / ARM / Cortex).
Continuous Integration & Unit Testing
Other
Experience working in agile development environments
Excellent collaboration and communications skills
Interest in industrial products, hardware-close development, and real-world applications
Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
Team-oriented, curious, and motivated to continuously learn and improve
(Experience with welding equipment, industrial machines, or safety-critical systems is considered a plus.)
