About the Job

As a Senior Software Developer at Vendasta, you’ll help design, architect, and scale our AI-driven platform and services. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, AI researchers, and product managers to turn ambitious ideas into production-ready solutions. Our goal is to create AI-powered software that actually does the work: engaging customers, generating content, answering calls, and more. We’re moving fast and making bold bets. This role is ideal for someone eager to build deeply technical systems that unlock real-world AI outcomes for businesses around the world.

Your Impact

As a Senior Developer you'll work with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Staff Developers, and Developers to:

• Design and develop scalable backend systems to power AI workflows and digital employees
• Develop collaborative technical roadmaps to support long-term product vision and business strategy
• Implement integrations with LLM frameworks like Langchain on Google Cloud Platform
• Shape and extend our platform to support real-time, multi-modal, model agnostic AI interaction at scale
• Work with data engineering and product teams to operationalize high-quality SMB datasets for AI features
• Mentor other developers and help define engineering standards in a fast-evolving AI stack
• Drive improvements in performance, reliability, scalability, cost-efficiency, and observability of our AI features
• Lead technical discussions around prompt orchestration, inference infrastructure, and service architecture

What You Bring to the Table

• 6+ years of software development experience, ideally in high-scale SaaS or AI-enabled platforms
• Experience planning and leading technical initiatives that support business goals and empower other developers
• Fluency in modern languages like TypeScript, Python, or Go
• Experience with modern APIs and microservice architectures
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (bonus if it's Google Cloud!), and CI/CD best practices
• Familiarity with AI/LLM tooling and frameworks (e.g., Langchain, vector databases, prompt orchestration)
• Experience working in agile teams, writing clean code, and collaborating across disciplines
• A deep curiosity about AI's potential and a pragmatic mindset for shipping real products that work
• Enthusiasm for helping to build an elite technical team in Saskatoon, with the opportunity to shape it from the ground up
