Duties: Lead the identification and definition of applications architectures, components and interfaces, design of data model, data/information flows and security design. Provide practical, expert knowledge of technical design alternatives and the implications of each approach, participating and many times leading phases of the software development cycle. Identify business value and cost for business and IT partners. Deliver software engineering designs and programs for new and existing products (enhancements and new product development) that meets business needs. Keep current on best practices in technology, and marketplace trends (including business competitors and technology vendors). Identify data needs, including access, security, quality and maintenance requirements. Influence and clearly relate technical alternatives to business objectives, using effective communications with customers and stakeholders. Recommend design alternatives, considering benefits and limitations to users based on in-depth understanding of business needs; may code very complex or high-risk components. Provide technical direction and coaching to software developers and associate software developers in application development activities. Adhere to all organizational and IT policies and process for software development and project management. Telecommuting permitted within commuting distance.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, and five (5) years of experience as a Software Developer or related

position.

Experience must include: Identifying and defining data needs, including access, security, quality and maintenance in software development field. Working with complex systems including high-risk components and providing technical direction to software developers. Recommending design alternatives based on understanding of business needs and knowledge in organizational and IT policies and process. Utilizing .Net, Asp.net, .Net Core, Web API, Angular-16, C#, Type Script, MVC, Entity Framework, Azure, APEGEE, Data Power, DevOps, Jira, Java Script, jQuery, CRM, Power BI, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, Oracle, and Sybase. Utilizing DevOps, Waterfall and Agile Methodologies.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
