Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Developer to provide post-production and post-deployment software support for the CECOM IEW&S Directorate Sensors and Mission Division (SMED) located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This role involves delivering technical services, subject matter expertise, and software solutions for a range of aerial and terrestrial sensor platforms, ensuring these critical systems remain operationally ready.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications and frameworks for mission-critical sensor platforms.
- Perform programming, documentation, configuration management, testing, and bug fixes throughout the software lifecycle.
- Work independently to drive impactful solutions that enhance operational results.
- Lead projects and technical initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional experts for innovative problem-solving.
- Develop technical solutions requiring deep analytical expertise and an understanding of operational impact.
- Guide and mentor junior technical staff, providing expertise on software design and development.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Security Clearance: Active DoD TS/SCI required.
- Programming Expertise: Proficiency in Bash, Python (SME), Linux, as well as C#, C++, C, .NET, Perl, Java.
- Operating Systems: Experience with RedHat Linux 8 and Windows Server 2022.
- Technologies & Tools: Familiarity with IIS, Grafana Labs, Esri ArcGIS, VMWare.
- Web Server Management: Installing and configuring web servers on Linux and Windows environments.
- Database Systems: Knowledge of Prometheus, PostgreSQL.
- System Security & Patch Management: Analyzing scan reports and building IAVA patch sets.
- Virtual Environment Management: Ability to build and maintain virtualized systems.
- Process Integration & Documentation: Experience integrating new tools and documenting methodologies.
- Certificates & Authority Chains: Strong understanding of certificate management.
- Software Engineering Documentation: Strong technical writing skills for software documentation.
- Collaboration: Ability to work independently or within small teams, with excellent communication skills.
- Travel: Up to 20% CONUS travel required for operational support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Clearance: Active TS/SCI with poly preferred.
- CECOM Experience: Familiarity with CECOM Software Engineering Center (SEC) PPSS & PDSS processes.
- Requirements Analysis: Experience in user requirements decomposition into software and hardware solutions.
- GRCS Ecosystem Knowledge: Background in GRCS ecosystem and TSB.
- Software & Tools: Experience with Visual Basic, Visual Studio, Python, plug-in architectures, Jira, Confluence, Git/GitHub, Perforce Helix ALM.
- Installer Development: Familiarity with WiX (Visual Studio tool) for building software installers.
- Specialized Technologies: Knowledge of cuda, gdal, Kakadu (kdu), QT5, OpenCV, SQLite, libAV, jpeg8, CMAKE, G++.
