R&D unit in KTI is responsible for developing digital services at KONE. It’s the development engine for our Digital Services such as KONE 24/7 Connected Services, Office Flow and Partnership Ecosystem. Roles and Responsibilities, we offer:
Understanding the Requirement/Ideas/Issues and proposing design solutions
Implementing and executing the solution in compliance to the SDLC process, codes & standards
Microcontroller firmware development such as bootloader and peripheral drivers
Required Technical Skill Set :
Proficiency in C is must. C++ is value added
32-bit Processor/Controller knowledge is essential (Cortex M3, M4)
Good knowledge in HW and Interface protocols (I2C /SPI/UART/USB)
Experience in working with bootloader, hardware abstraction layer (HAL), Drivers for SPI, I2C, UART, ADC and GPIO
Familiarity in understanding Electrical & PCB circuits and schematic drawings
Excellent Trouble Shooting and Debugging skills
Knowledge in LON/TCP-IP protocol is value added
Good knowledge in RTOS like EmbOS or similar
Agentic AI driven software development is value added
Required Tools / Software Knowledge:
Proficiency in Embedded C programming
Working Knowledge in IDEs like IAR EW for ARM/GHS MULTI/KEIL MDK or similar
Working knowledge in Debug & Downloading Tools such as JTAG/ISP etc.
Able to perform extensive System Test, Module Tests and Unit Test for the developed SW
Familiarity in performing static analysis check to SW modules using any SQM tools
