Responsibilities:
- Support operational and ticket-driven activities, with a primary focus on identifying, analyzing, and remediating security vulnerabilities (Synk) across banking applications rather than developing new features.
- Contribute to the organization's GitHub migration initiative by standardizing CI/CD pipelines, implementing security controls, and establishing operational practices using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Enhance system observability by implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions, while reducing operational overhead through automation and self-service capabilities.
- Modernize legacy applications to meet the bank’s current technology, security, compliance, and operational standards.
- Collaborate closely with Development Platform and Security teams to drive the consistent adoption of DevOps, security, and operational best practices across products and services.
- Develop and maintain automation tools, reusable workflows, and operational processes to improve reliability, efficiency, and consistency across application teams.
- Continuously identify opportunities to streamline operations, reduce manual effort, and improve the overall developer and operational experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3-5+ years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent experience
- Official certifications required, such as AWS, CKA, CNCF
Core Platforms & Automation
- Strong hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions in enterprise environments
- Senior-level experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, AWS Cloud, Java besed api, Python, Bash, and API/CLI-based tooling
Principal Skill – Snyk (Required)
- Strong, hands-on expertise with Snyk as a core security platform, including:
- Snyk Open Source (SCA) for dependency vulnerability management
- Snyk Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for Terraform and cloud configuration security
- Proven experience in integrating Snyk into GitHub Actions pipelines, including:
- Ability to communicate security risks clearly to development and leadership teams
Cloud-Native & Observability
- Strong experience with containerized platforms including Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, or equivalent service mesh technologies
- Networking experience including VPCs, SDN/VLANs, DNS, routers, and firewalls
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Datadog
- Experience with log aggregation and analysis tools such as FluentD, ELK, or Splunk
- Experience with secrets and vault management solutions
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
