A day in the life:
Build, test and implement software following the software development life cycle, deployment protocols and best practices, including compiling builds, creating checklists, and executing installations to minimize downtime and rollback risk.
Monitor systems post-deployment to ensure changes do not impact business operations.
Support complex systems with multiple interfaces to other agency systems and hardware.
Plan and execute routine maintenance tasks, such as installing new technology frameworks, removing end-of-life frameworks, and configuring minor software versions.
Analyze and modify software code for enhancements and bug fixes, partner with external agencies and vendors as needed while ensuring compliance with security standards.
Research and document alternative solutions to meet complex requirements, including pros/cons and cost/time estimates.
Perform data analysis by creating and executing queries, consolidating data, and presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Install software and perform health checks on new server hardware.
Monitor and analyze system performance to ensure it meets expectations.
Act as technical lead, facilitating communication among analysts, database administrators, developers, project managers, business staff, outside agencies, and vendors regarding critical interfaces and system issues.
Document system configurations and troubleshooting guides.
Work in a hybrid environment with occasional on-site meetings in Salem, Oregon.

Minimum qualifications:
Six (6) years of information systems experience in: software development as a programmer or analyst.
OR
An associate's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field AND four (4) years of information systems experience in: software development as a programmer or analyst.
OR
A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field AND two (2) years of information systems experience in: software development as a programmer or analyst.
OR
Master's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.

Strong proficiency in C# programming and the .NET framework.
Experience in web services development (REST, SOAP, Web API) with solid understanding of object-oriented design (OOD) principles and implementation patterns and front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
Experience evaluating system behavior, assessing impacts on systems and interfaces, and designing/developing integrations in a complex, multi-system environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to understand customer needs and reach agreement on software/technology solutions.
Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving software issues.
