SUMMARYQ2 is seeking a motivated Software Developer in Test to join our team and help deliver high-quality online banking software. In this role, you will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define test strategies, create and execute detailed test plans, and implement automation frameworks. You will gain hands-on experience with web-based and back-end testing, while also contributing to mentoring junior engineers and improving overall test processes. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow technically, take ownership of testing deliverables, and make a tangible impact on product quality in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to understand project goals and deliverables. • Create comprehensive test plans and test cases that provide strong coverage and can be traced to use cases and specifications. • Execute test cases, report results, and document defects with diagnostic details for triage. • Develop, manage, and maintain automation test scripts (Python/JS). • Assist in setup and maintenance of test environments and automation frameworks. • Participate in sprint and release planning, providing test effort estimates. • Contribute to driving product quality across the product line. • Mentor junior test engineers in automation practices. EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE• Bachelor’s degree in a software-related field; 5–8 years of relevant experience. • Strong expertise in test automation, testing methodologies, and test plan creation. • Experience testing web-based software solutions (front-end and back-end). • Familiarity with Python, SQL, and automation tools such as Selenium. • Skilled in debugging complex web applications and analyzing logs. • Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills. • Knowledge of CI/CD, version control (Gitlab/Bitbucket), defect tracking (Jira), RESTful APIs, and SAAS.

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
