Senior Software Developer (Rust/Go)

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer (Rust/Go) to join our mission of protecting the digital world.
In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of a large-scale open-source platform implemented in Rust, as well as the evolution and maintenance of existing Go-based services and integrations that are critical for Acronis partners and customers worldwide. You will work in a collaborative, global environment, partnering with architecture, QA, Security, and Support teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions that meet high quality standards.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, implement, and maintain core components of a high-performance, open-source platform written in Rust, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.

• Extend, refactor, and support existing Go services, including integrations with third-party marketplaces and internal billing and integration systems.

• Participate in architectural and design reviews, produce technical documentation and diagrams, and provide input into long-term technical strategy for integration and platform services.

• Perform code reviews and enforce engineering best practices across Rust and Go codebases to ensure maintainability, performance, and secure development.

• Investigate, analyze, and resolve complex issues reported by internal stakeholders, driving root cause analysis and sustainable fixes.

• Collaborate closely with QA, Security, DevOps, and Support teams to ensure smooth delivery, deployment, and operation of services in production environments.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR  

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with strong hands-on expertise in Rust and Go for backend and platform services.

• Solid understanding of Rust’s ownership and borrowing model, lifetimes, error handling patterns, and generic/trait-based design.

• Experience with asynchronous Rust with the Tokio ecosystem, concurrent programming, and performance optimization in systems where efficiency and reliability are critical.

• Proficiency with standard Rust tooling and ecosystem, including Cargo, workspaces, testing frameworks, and code quality tools (formatters, linters, Clippy).

• Strong knowledge of Go: goroutines, channels, interfaces, dependency management, and building scalable microservices.

• Practical experience with virtualization, containerization, and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes or similar), including deploying and operating services in cloud or hybrid environments.

• Proven track record of designing, writing, and maintaining unit and integration tests, and working in a CI/CD-driven environment.

• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases for implementing and troubleshooting data access in backend services.

• Strong understanding of software design principles, clean architecture, and best practices for secure and maintainable code.

• Professional proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a distributed, cross-functional setting.

• Experience using modern LLM instruments and AI development tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) to accelerate development workflows while maintaining code quality and security.
