We are looking for a Senior Software Developer who enjoys solving complex performance challenges. You will work across Unity, native platform code, graphics, and device-specific technologies to shape the next generation of Adaptive Performance.
What you’ll be doing
- Investigate CPU, GPU, memory, thermal, and runtime performance issues across Unity and supported platforms
- Design and develop Adaptive Performance features that improve runtime stability, efficiency, and developer insights
- Profile applications and engine workloads to identify bottlenecks and turn performance data into actionable solutions
- Collaborate with Unity teams, platform holders, hardware partners, OEMs, and customers
- Contribute to technical design, implementation, testing, code reviews, mentoring, and AI-assisted performance workflows
- Strong software development experience with C# and C++, including large and unfamiliar codebases
- Deep understanding of CPU, GPU, memory, threading, and managed and native runtime performance
- Hands-on experience with profiling and diagnostic tools, such as Unity Profiler, Xcode Instruments, Perfetto, or equivalent
- Strong debugging and analytical skills, with the ability to own complex and technically ambiguous problems
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to mentor others and share technical knowledge
- Experience with graphics or hardware profiling tools, such as RenderDoc, Snapdragon Profiler, or Arm tooling
- Experience profiling and optimizing real-time applications across Android, iOS, desktop, console, or web
- Knowledge of performance-analysis tools, runtime feedback systems, telemetry, machine learning, or AI-driven optimization
This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate’s relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.
