Senior Software ArchitectWhat does a successful Senior Software Architect do at Fiserv?
A successful Senior Software Architect at Fiserv works within a Scrum development and DevOps team to design and deliver scalable software solutions for core banking and bill pay applications. This role applies advanced software engineering concepts across responsive UX, open banking, microservice APIs and the full software development life cycle, with a strong focus on quality. The role also leads architecture discussions, establishes engineering standards and advances modern delivery practices including AI-assisted engineering and CI/CD.
What you will do?
- Analyze complex processes and heterogeneous technology environments to design and develop software solutions, create design documentation and support planning, requirements analysis and solution design across the SDLC.
- Design and develop responsive UX and deliver end-to-end solutions for Billpay UI and APIs.
- Develop high-throughput, high-volume transaction APIs for omni-channel platforms and enhance API solutions to create simple, easy-to-consume APIs for fintech companies.
- Participate in roadmap and strategy development for documenting and presenting API specifications while defining design standards, coding guidelines and engineering best practices.
- Lead technical reviews, architecture discussions and solution design while driving AI-assisted engineering practices and contributing to CI/CD and DevOps for secure, repeatable deployments.
What you must have?
- 8-10 years of related experience in software engineering and architecture.
- 3+ years of hands-on development experience across Microsoft technologies including C#, ASP.NET MVC and JavaScript, with experience in Agile delivery environments.
- 2+ years of experience building APIs and full-stack enterprise solutions using technologies such as Web API or WCF, with experience supporting high-volume transaction processing applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, training and work experience.
What would be nice to have?
- 2+ years of experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS and/or Angular.
- 2+ years of experience with automated, unit, integration and performance testing using tools such as NUnit, Postman and JMeter.
- 2+ years of experience in financial services, payments and cloud-based environments including private and/or public cloud infrastructure.
Salary Range
$109,500.00 - $174,000.00These pay ranges apply to employees in Massachusetts, California (excluding Sunnyvale) and District of Columbia. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
