DigitalOcean is seeking an experienced Sr. Social Media Marketing Manager who excels in crafting and executing innovative social media campaigns. This individual should have a strong background in social marketing, with a proven ability to leverage data and metrics to drive impactful social marketing results. You will play a crucial role in shaping our social marketing strategy, collaborating across teams to produce compelling campaigns, and enhancing product awareness among technical audiences and business leaders alike on the social media marketing channel. Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship social and/or digital marketing experience.
  • Experience working for a B2B and/or SaaS company with a technical audience.
  • Experience developing, executing & scaling cross-functional marketing programs.
  • Experience using social media data or metrics to drive business impact.
  • Experience contextualizing campaign success with benchmarks & baselines.
  • Experience with messaging frameworks, content copywriting, & creative briefs
  • Experience communicating results to stakeholders & senior leadership.
  • Experience with Social Media Management & Social Listening Tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Ideate, execute, & iterate on social marketing campaigns to create awareness of cloud products & services to business leaders and technical developers alike.
  • Influence the development of compelling content with meaningful messaging across core business pillars—Product, Developer, & Events Marketing—by leveraging best practices.
  • Responsible for analyzing and reporting social media performance metrics, defining and implementing social media goals against intended marketing outcomes.
  • Increase adoption of new products by creating high-quality social content such as employee or user generated content targeted at developers and engineers.
  • Act as the POC for Product, Developer, & Events Marketing as well as Public Relations to procure roadmaps, evaluate opportunities, and align on social marketing initiatives.
  • Provide qualitative insights based on the implementation of tactics or best practices to educate stakeholders and reinforce the social marketing channel strategy.
  • Contribute to crafting the social media strategy on the social marketing channel and must have an informed perspective on an approach to various platforms.
  • Create organizational rigor by coordinating campaign creation across a wide range of internal stakeholders and external agencies against marketing business objectives.
  • Be the resident expert for social tactics & best practices across an ever-changing landscape of social platforms and have the ability to stand-up new social accounts.
  • Convey results at WBR & MBR’s to both quantitatively demonstrate the impact of social campaigns to stakeholder objectives and the social marketing channel goals.  
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of social media channels, including publishing and community management of owned campaign content.
  • Maintain a strong emphasis on high-quality social standards, including having strong written & verbal communication skills, and an impeccable attention to brand details.

  • We reward our employees. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000 based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance. We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees, including equity grants upon hire and the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
