The Rolex SailGP Championship is the most exciting racing on water, where anything can happen in short, adrenaline-fueled battles between national teams at iconic stadium destinations worldwide. Top athletes fly in identical high-tech F50 catamarans faster than the wind, at speeds in excess of 100km/h (60mph). Founded in 2018, SailGP is one of the world’s fastest-growing sports and entertainment properties, now in its sixth season.

Summary:
Drive high-growth areas for SailGP that scale across commercial partnerships, creators, international programming, athletes and events. This role is positioned to build long-term, sustainable strategies, operations and delivery against priority goals for the SailGP social media team. Those goals require the strategic thinking and cross-department partnership to better position SailGP for reaching annual KPI’s as well as to work towards its 2030 KPI’s.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Partnerships
- Build strategy playbook detailing SailGP’s vision for branded content.
- Deliver progressive content and media solutions with select commercial partners (league, event, situational).
- Partner with Paid Media to stand up 6- and 12-month plans for expanding content monetization.
- Operate Partnerships deliverables for social media channels.
- Integrate Social Media into Commercial team strategy and partner negotiations.
Creator
- Produce a strategic outlook for Creator strategy inclusive of creators, influencers, presenters, athletes, VIPs and other personalities connected to SailGP.
- Deliver a 2025-2026 report on Creator content with analysis detailing its role in supporting Social’s KPI’s.
- Manage 2026 budget and calendar, stand up a reporting cadence on content performance (in partnership with Data/Analytics) and partner with Paid Media, Event Marketing, Content, Broadcast, Purpose and other relevant teams at SailGP.
- Lead conversations with league teams relevant to the Creator projects that are planned for 2026 and beyond.
- Devise ways of working with creators and influencers between Social team and Content, Event Marketing, Comms, league teams and league broadcasters.
- Lead search and implementation of external resources to drive Creator program growth.
International Programming
- Organize a learnings document for geo-gated posts to-date and continue management of that document scaling into a strategy playbook.
- Manage delivery of geo-gated organic posts including management of editors across France, Italy, Spain and scale into Germany and Brazil.
- Lead Red Lantern partnership and its strategy of Chinese social media channels.
- Build roadmap to Hong Kong
- Build content plan for social media partnership with select league broadcasters (in partnership with Broadcast).
2027 Events
- Build organizing document for how SailGP Social is best positioned to activate on-site - personnel, resources, plans.
- Develop guidance for what elements of each 2027 event are critical for Social to “win” - location, stories, partnerships, opportunities. To inform 2027 budget outlook.
- Long-lead partnership with Event Marketing on opportunities related to Content, Creator, Commercial Partnerships and other areas that directly impact the role Social plays in bringing event stories to life.
Athlete Fame
- Devise strategy for how SailGP builds athlete fame through league-driven content, team partnerships and athlete channel guidance.
- Build network of internal and external partnerships across Content, League Teams, Broadcasters, Creators, VIP’s, Commercial Partners to elevate athlete visibility.
- Partner with social media platforms to provide platform-level insights, guidance and support.
- Operate select athlete cohort in partnership with Team Services to drive athlete-relevant content for athlete channels.
Event Operations
- SailGP conducts events throughout the year and this role is expected to work during events, which can include weekends.
- Includes travel to events as well as attendance at broadcast studio in west London to participate in content creation and partnership management (Content, Event Marketing, Partnerships).

Location:
SailGP HQ in London, United Kingdom. Hybrid working model with a minimum of 3 days per week in the London Office.
