We are Generac, a leading energy technology company committed to powering a smarter world.

Over the 60 plus years of Generac’s history, we’ve been dedicated to energy innovation. From creating the home standby generator market category, to our current evolution into an energy technology solutions company, we continue to push new boundaries.

The Senior Social Media Manager / Creator will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to engage key audiences for the Generac brand. Responsibilities include content planning, creation, and project management, as well as mentoring junior team members. • Own the editorial calendar strategy: Help drive, maintain, and adapt it based on listening insights, business priorities, and platform trends. Collaborate with the Director of Social Media to align content themes with broader brand and campaign goals.

  • Guide the execution of the calendar, ensuring timely delivery and cross-functional coordination.

  • Suggest and plan highly engaging, platform-specific, social-first content for both agency and in-house creation, writing detailed creative briefs when needed

  • Mentor more junior team members on social copywriting

  • Provide oversight of other teams’ content calendars

Project & Team Leadership

  • Lead large-scale social media projects and campaigns from concept to execution.

  • Mentor junior team members on editorial strategy, brand voice, and community management best practices.

  • Partner with creative teams and agencies to bring ideas to life, ensuring content is both brand-aligned and socially relevant.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Own social media reporting process, ensuring read-outs are on time and structure is sound

  • Analyze performance data, extract insights, and present strategic recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Use metrics to inform content testing, community engagement strategies, and editorial planning.
