Stake is looking for a Senior SMSF Accountant to join our team on a remote basis in Pune, India. As Stake look to expand, we will look at other ways of hybrid working in the future.

About this roleIn this role, you will work closely with our Team Lead and India SMSF Lead you will be responsible for preparing the annual financial statements and tax returns for a rapidly growing portfolio of SMSF customers. You will leverage your SMSF industry expertise to guide our dedicated customer success team and deliver an outstanding experience to Stake’s customers.
You will also have the opportunity to onboard new SMSF customers and assist Stake with further growth.
We’re looking for an Accountant with the following interests and experiences:
- 4-6 years experience in SMSF administration
- A passion for Self-Managed Super Funds and the willingness to make your mark in the industry;
- Masters of Commerce or MBA or CA qualifications (preferable)
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to liaise Stake’s customers, and internal stakeholders;
- Exposure to Class accounting software would be advantageous.
- Experience in reconciling EOFY accounts;
- Experience in preparing annual returns;
- Preparing EOFY workpapers;
- Lodge activity statements;
- Correspond with customers in relation to the finalisation of their EOFY accounts;
- Work with Stake’s audit panels to facilitate an independent SMSF audit;
- Liaise with onshore accountants where applicable to follow up matters with regulators
- Work with cross-functional teams across Stake
