Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong expertise in automation, observability, infrastructure operations, and platform reliability. This role is primarily focused on improving the reliability, availability, and operational efficiency of large-scale on-premises environments through engineering excellence and automation. Additionally, the candidate should possess a solid understanding of ITIL-based Service Management practices to effectively manage incidents, changes, and problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly reliable and resilient infrastructure platforms.
• Drive automation initiatives using Python, Ansible, and Terraform to reduce operational overhead.
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Implement and enhance observability solutions, monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting frameworks.
• Lead reliability improvements, incident response, RCA activities, and service restoration efforts.
• Work closely with infrastructure and engineering teams to improve platform performance and availability.
• Apply ITIL best practices for Incident, Change, and Problem Management to ensure operational governance and service stability.

Required Skills

Site Reliability Engineering

• Strong hands-on experience in Python (Advanced) for automation and tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms and deployment automation.
• Proficiency in Ansible and Terraform.
• Strong infrastructure and platform operations knowledge.
• Good understanding of Azure and AWS cloud fundamentals.
• Advanced expertise in Observability, Monitoring, Alerting, and Troubleshooting.
• Experience with SRE concepts including reliability, availability, capacity planning, and operational excellence.

Service Management

• Strong understanding of ITIL principles.
• Hands-on experience in: Incident Management Change Management Problem Management
• Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and driving service improvements.

Good to Have

• OpenTelemetry (OTEL)
• Grafana
• Cribl
• ClickHouse
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale on-prem or hybrid environments
