As part of this effort, Block Storage Service team is looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, large scale storage, and highly available services. Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years’ experience in developing commercial software in a distributed environment.
- Proficiency in high-level languages like Python or Go, Java
- Knowledge of provisioning tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and Storage & networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, iSCSI).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms.
- Expertise in deployment pipelines and monitoring tools like Grafana.
- Skill in writing contextual instructions and managing memory for AI agents
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
ResponsibilitiesAs a technical leader, you will be
- Writing code to automate repetitive, manual administrative tasks so software can run smoothly and efficiently.
Building observability platforms using tools like Grafana to monitor system performance and anticipate problems before users notice them.
Conducting thorough analyses after a system failure to understand the root cause and improve future responses.
Forecasting system resource usage to ensure cloud servers can handle unexpected spikes in traffic or data
