Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Overview
The Open Banking SRE team is responsible for building, operating, and scaling highly available cloud-native platforms. This role is deeply focused on AWS-based infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms (EKS), supporting critical production systems in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
You will combine software engineering, infrastructure engineering, and operations to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability across services.
Role
Engage across the full-service lifecycle from design through production operations
Partner with product engineering teams to design, implement, and operate applications in cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, EKS, Kubernetes, Docker)
Manage and support critical production systems in a fast-moving cloud program
Automate infrastructure, monitoring, and operational processes
Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
Monitor system health, availability, and performance
Participate in on-call rotation and incident response; lead root cause analysis
Drive reliability improvements through automation and observability
Partner with development, product, and global teams to improve system resilience
Maintain system documentation, runbooks, and operational standards
Mission
Act as a key partner to our infrastructure and product teams by ensuring systems meet availability, performance, and reliability targets. Drive cloud-first, automation-driven SRE practices to reduce manual effort and improve customer experience.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure (required)
Strong experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker (required)
Experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting
Terraform or similar IaC tools
CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins)
Programming/scripting (Python, Go, Shell, etc.)
Monitoring/observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana)
Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, load balancing)
