Humana is a leading health care insurance company committed to deliver excellence. We are seeking a talented SPLUNK Engineer to join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. This role is crucial in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of our systems through effective monitoring and data analysis using SPLUNK.
- Develop, configure, and maintain SPLUNK environments for effective monitoring, logging, and analysis
- Implement and optimize SPLUNK queries, dashboards, and alerts to support proactive system monitoring and incident response
- Collaborate with SRE and development teams to understand requirements and provide SPLUNK-based solutions for performance and reliability issues
- Perform data analysis and visualization to identify trends, potential issues, and areas of improvement
- Troubleshoot and resolve SPLUNK related issues, including performance tuning and integration challenges
- Develop and maintain documentation for SPLUNK configurations, processes, and best practices
- Participate in On-Call rotations and provide support during critical incidents to ensure system reliability
- Stay updated with the latest SPLUNK features and industry best practices, and recommend improvements
- Utilize Dynatrace to monitor system performance , identify bottlenecks, and optimize application and infrastructure performance
- Establish and enforce best practices for using Dynatrace and ensure optimal configuration and utilization across the organization

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or at least 6 years of equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience with SPLUNK deployment, administration, and troubleshooting
- 2+ years of SPLUNK architecture, data indexing, and query language (SPL) experience
- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering principles and best practices
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Be a self-starter and be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related technical field
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure)
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and methodologies
- Certifications related to SPLUNK, Dynatrace

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$95,300 - $131,200 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
