The SharePoint Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SharePoint environments and solutions. This includes configuring sites, libraries, workflows, and web parts, ensuring system security, and supporting business processes through automation and integration.
Key Responsibilities
o Install, configure, and maintain SharePoint servers (on-premises and/or SharePoint Online).
o Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply patches or updates.
o Manage permissions, security settings, and compliance requirements.
o Design and deploy SharePoint solutions, including custom workflows, forms, and web parts.
o Migrate data and content from legacy systems to SharePoint using scripts or third-party tools.
o Customize SharePoint sites to meet organizational needs.
o Collaborate with IT teams and IA.
o Provide technical support to end-users and site owners and create documentation
o Ensure adherence to security standards and organizational policies.
o Maintain knowledge of SharePoint best practices and emerging technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
o Bachelor’s degree with TS or DOE Q clearance.
o 10+ years of experience with SharePoint administration with a deep understanding of SharePoint Architecture, features and best practices.
o Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
o Experience with migrating SharePoint versions on-premises or online (preferably using ShareGate)
o SharePoint components (Search, Taxonomy, Managed Metadata).
o Patching SharePoint server to meet organization security standards.
o Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST API, and SQL. Is preferred.
o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
o Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
